Our half Scottish girl, Skye, completed her American Championship less than a month after her second birthday, with a 4 point major in Portland.
Skye is out of Keridown's Parting Kiss - the only Keridown wheaten to come to North America from Robert and Evelyn Ross in Edinburgh. She was entrusted to Janice and William Cunningham who in turn have trusted us with Skye. Many thanks.
Throughout her show career Skye has been shown by Lisa Tremblay, Jenna Lostale, Amy Rutherford and even her owner Trudie. Skye doesn't particularly like to show but thinks the hotels and attention are wonderful. She loves little dogs, puppies and children so we hope she'll be a great mother.

My Wire Fox, Can. Ch. Plawsworth Belle of Bon Accord, travelled to the Puyallup and Portland shows. At Puyallup, she went WB & BOB on Jan. 18. At Portland on January 21 she went WB,BoW,and BOB over specials for a 4-point major, and followed up with another WB plus BOS on January 23. Exciting trip, as this was her 2nd major and with only limited showing, she needs very few points to finish her US title.

It was another stellar weekend south of the border for the Annfield Miniature Schnauzers of Tim Doxtater and Don Emslie of Surrey B.C. “Annfield Turn It On” aka as “Switch” and his litter sister “Am.Ch. Annfield Shop Till You Drop”, aka as “Macy” were close to making a clean sweep at the Portland Miniature Schnauzer Club Specialty show on January 20 at Portland, Oregon.
“Macy” co-owned and shown by Carla Nickerson was Terrier breeder judge Cindy Vogel’s choice for Best Of Breed. “Switch” was next in line having being awarded Winners Dog, Best Of Winners and Best Of Opposite Sex over five campaigned US Champion boys. “Switch” went on to place fourth in the Terrier Association Of Oregon – Bred By Exhibitor Group. Winners bitch at the Specialty was a daughter of the famed “Am.Can.Ch. Annfield Oh For Sure”.
“Switch” picked up another Best Of Winners major under Terrier breeder judge B. Stenmark at the all breed show and sister “Macy” was bestowed with two Best of Opposite wins. A son of “Am.Can.Ch. Annfield Turn Turn Turn” owned and shown by Karen McTavish also came back to Canada with a major Best Of Winners ribbon.

I am very proud of my girl, CH Kenwood’s Just NV Mee RN CGN PCD.
We had a very successful year in 2009. With the help of Stewart & Joy Gladstone NV finished her championship. She managed with her few shows in 2008 & 2009 ~ 2 BPIG, 1 Group One, 5 Group Three & 3 Group Four.
I took the lead this year and together we had a great time starting our obedience career. We managed to get our Rally Novice, Pre-Novice & CGN and are now working on the next levels.

First, my blue bitch "DD" (Can Ch Threlfall Tantoo Cardinal) won the breed at the All Terrier Club of Alberta on July 31st (Judge - Jay Richardson; handler Kyra Dennis)
Second, she won the breed the next day at the Alberta Kennel Club show and took Group 4th (Judge - Janet Buchanan; handler Lori Gauvin)
"DD" and her father "Divot" (Can & Intl Ch Threlfall Tee Shot AgN NAC) took Best Brace at breed level (with competition) both days, and, at the AKC show, won Best Brace in Show (Judge L. Stanbridge). The brace, as always, was breeder/owner handled by me.
The remaining 2 days of the weekend were lots of fun at the Earthdog trials but no qualifying scores. DD had one perfect Junior run but it required a second command so, no Q.

At 8 months
of age, Joe is proving to be a very promising puppy. He
has finished his Canadian championship, 4 puppy groups, best
puppy in show, 2 group placements and at the Northern California
Terrier Specialty was awarded a Group 2 in the Bred-By Exhibitor
Group! The even more exciting thing is that his half-brother,
Parker (Darwyn’s Webslinger), wins when Joe doesn’t – at
NorCal Terrier Specialty, Parker got 2,
4-point majors!
